Hello My Name Is...

Natalie Finch

Mrs. Finch

I grew up in Muncie, Indiana, but got to Texas just as fast as I could. After graduating from Ball State University with degrees in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, I quickly obtained my Texas teaching certificate and began my teaching career in Wichita Falls ISD.

This is my 21st year to teach at GES. I first came to GES in 1997 and taught Kindergarten until 2008. Then, I spent some treasured time at home while my sons were in preschool.   In 2012, I returned to GES  and taught second grade for 5 years. Currently, I am celebrating my 5th year teaching Pre-K.  Teaching has always been my heart’s desire. I was so fortunate to get to be at home when my boys were young; those years are a time that I will always hold dear.   But, I feel so lucky and grateful to be a part of the GES community and to teach the youngest Stars!

My husband, Bill, and I have been married for 24 years and moved to Grapevine due to a job change. We immediately fell in love with the city’s celebrations and family friendliness. Our boys, Reid (12th grade) and Luke (9th grade) are active in sports in the area. So, our weekends are often filled cheering them on.  Also, as a family, we enjoy riding bikes, watching movies, playing board games, and participating in Boy Scouts.

I believe in the excellence of Grapevine Elementary and take my role seriously in keeping GES a special place. I am proud to have participated as a parent, volunteer, teacher, and PTA member. It is my belief, too, that each child is unique in his/her interests, abilities, and learning styles. With earnest effort, I will strive to meet your child’s needs. I am looking forward to partnering with you in this year’s educational journey.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I am happy to conference with you; please call or send an email at [email protected] Please share any helpful information with me about your child and/or family. I am very excited to work with your family this year.
