Laura Jean Couch

 
Hi! My name is Laura Jean Couch and I have the privilege to teach PreK this year at GES. I go by my first and middle names but a lot of my friends and family call me LJ so I’ll answer to either! After graduation from Texas A&M (Whoop!) I taught first and second grade in the district I grew up in, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, for 12 years. The past 3 years I have been teaching PreK, just down the road, at Compass Christian Preschool in Colleyville. In my time at Compass, I discovered how wonderful and amazing PreK is and I am thrilled to be joining the GES PreK team!

I am married and my family lives in the neighborhood near the school. My husband and I have a 7-year-old daughter that will be in 2nd grade and a 4-year-old son that will be in PreK in the fall. My kids and I are so excited that all three of us will get to be GES Stars together! We also have two silly Labrador Retrievers that I love to share funny stories about.

I’m beyond excited to join GES for the 2021-2022 school year! I can’t wait to be a part of a staff that I have always admired, work together with the GES families, and meet all of my PreK Stars!
