1 Recess a Month

At Grapevine Elementary, our 5th grade students are naturally leaders on campus and have an additional opportunity to share their leadership with various students in Pre-Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Student selections are based on characteristics such as: trustworthiness, concern for the welfare of others, ability to listen to and understand others, flexibility, self–confidence, dependability and responsibility, honesty, the potential for leadership, and models positive character traits. Star PAL students are expected to maintain appropriate classroom citizenship and behavior throughout the school year.
